RHONJ’s Jenn Fessler has appeared on the Bravo show as a ‘friend of’ for the past two seasons. The fate of the New Jersey housewives currently hangs in the balance. And it looks like Jenn’s marriage once did, too. Jenn lifts the lid on where she and her husband, Jeff, stand today after some serious ups and downs in their relationship.
What happened between RHONJ’s Jenn Fessler and her husband?
RHONJ might be on pause, but the drama keeps on coming with this cast.
Speaking on iHeart’s I Do, Part 2 podcast this February, Jenn Fessler shares some details about her marriage.
Spilling the tea on how she and her husband, Jeff, split up, Jenn says they “hit a rough patch” seven years into their marriage.
The two tied the knot in 1999.
But, speaking of a tough period around 2006, she explains: “My marriage was definitely not my priority at that time, and it wasn’t for Jeff either. We were just not connecting. We were not connecting on an emotional level, and we were not connecting on a physical level.”
Jenn adds how she later found out Jeff was having an affair, and upon discovering the news she says she “completely lost her mind.”
The RHONJ star said she ended up “flirting with guys” and initially “didn’t have an affair” but began “checking out” other men.
She then admitted to later finding a boyfriend. But, it wasn’t meant to be.
“I guess I knew there was a part of me that knew that not only does it take two, but I almost felt lucky that it was him first because I could place all the blame on him… But I had been flirting with other guys and whatever. I know that I was headed in that direction,” adds Jenn.
Are the two together now?
Despite going their separate ways seven years into their marriage, Jenn and Jeff reconnected.
The two, who have two adult kids together, decided to make a go of their relationship again.
Jenn said: “He was so certain that we were making a mistake the whole time. And I think I was … I knew in my heart that it was a mistake, I just didn’t want to live my life without Jeff Fessler.”
These days, the two are “best friends,” and Jenn says she “feels lucky” to have made her “marriage work.”
The Bravo star sweetly explains how once they patched things up, “life began again.”
“We do the best we can and we fight and we have unhappy moments and unhappy periods of time,” she adds.
