An old video of The Bachelor’s former winning couple, Matt James and Rachael Kirkconnell, is doing the rounds. They recently broke up but since uncovering the video, people are really not happy.
The Bachelor saw Matt and Rachael win the 2020 dating show. Five years later, they’re now single, but all eyes are on a video of Rachael mixing ketchup and garlic together while out for lunch.
Rachael mixed her garlic and ketchup together
Rachael Kirkconnell decided to mix ketchup into a garlic sauce during a lunch date. She then dipped her fries into it, saying she ordered them, despite Matt’s attempts to warn her against it.
He was filming for a food TikTok video at the time, a hobby they’d both became popular for, and kept asking her what she’s doing. Rachael was having none of it, and kept telling him they’re her fries.
Matt then started pointing at her saying he’d “remember that,” and quite frankly, Rachael looks tired of his comments. The Bachelor viewers have now found the video, which was taken in 2022.
Matt was so mad at Rachael for mixing two sauces together without his permission that he decided to post a video warning other girlfriends “not to do this.” He even made it a public service announcement.
It’s not the only time he’s been mad at Rachael for her food etiquette. In another video, she’s stealing food off his plate, and he’s asked, “Why do girlfriends do this?”
The Bachelor fandom are super mad at him
Well, Matt, you might be mad, but so are the entire The Bachelor fandom. Since he decided to share a break-up post two hours after dumping Rachael, according to her, people are really furious with him.
A Reddit thread has been opened to discuss how he treated Rachael. One user shared the above TikTok video, and wrote: “I wanna cut his finger off after watching this…poor Rachael.”
Another commented, “If that was supposed to be funny, it missed the mark. It truly seems to be his true personality. Girl dodged a bullet. How did she stay so long in that relationship.”
However, some think they’re just joking around. One Reddit user said: “THIS VIDEO INTENTIONALLY CUTS OFF HER LAUGHING AT THE END. It’s clearly just a funny couples bit.”
