The Grammy’s saw the awkward moment when musician Babyface was disrespected by two reporters. They’ve since apologized for cutting short his interview, but it’s not the first time he’s faced rudeness.
A long time ago on The Real Housewives of Beverly Hills featured Babyface himself, while he was married to then-wife-to-be Nicole Patenburg. Brandi Melville was there and made uncalled-for remarks at him.
Babyface got snubbed at the Grammy’s
Babyface was utterly snubbed at the Grammy’s. He was doing an interview with two reporters when they suddenly spotted Chappell Roan, started calling her name, and essentially interrupted Babyface.
Celebrities such as Khloe Kardashian were shocked, and took to X to stick up for the 12-time Grammy award winner. He even urged the reporters they’d better get to their interview with Chappell Roan.
It’s not the first time the musician has been disrespected in public. There was a time on RHOBH when he was sat at a dinner party next to Brandi Melville, who slammed the ring he bought for his then-fiance.
Brandi didn’t hold back on RHOBH
Brandi Melville told Babyface the engagement ring he bought for his then-wife, Nicole, was too small. But how did he end up among the RHOBH cast?! Well, he’s a longtime friend of David Foster’s.
Naturally, he ended up at one of David and Yolanda Foster’s elegant dinner parties during season 5 of RHOBH. “We could go bigger,” Brandi boldly told him after looking at Nicole’s ring.
Brandi’s castmates couldn’t hide their embarrassment for the situation, but Babyface kept his cool and said, “It’s not about the size. It’s about the love.” She then backtracked and accused him of “cheating”.
She said, “If you’re too young and you have this giant rock, it means your husband’s cheating.” Babyface then said, “I think it’s something because of some things you’ve gone through that you feel that way.”
They bumped into each other during another episode, when he joined the ladies in their private jet to head off to Calgary, Alberta, Canada for the David Foster Foundation’s charity gala.
Brandi and Babyface didn’t clash that time. Instead, we were treated to a musical performance from him, before Yolanda threw flowers at him as he played guitar onstage to show her appreciation.
